A catalytic converter shield for your 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner. Crafted out of 1/4" aluminum or 3/16" steel making it an ideal cat theft deterrent and an off-road skid plate. It's an all-in-one design concept! This design boasts a heavy duty shield that runs from crossmember to crossmember. Providing your 4Runner cat protection as well as the transmission.
***We are working on our powder coating process and there might be some imperfections in the coating. Because of this, all powder-coated plates are on sale. Powder coat is a black wrinkle finish. Sale items are non-refundable.***
Fitment
- Ventilation holes to keep temperatures down around the transmission
- At this time fitment has only been confirmed on 4x4 4Runners with an automatic transmission
- Mounts into preexisting holes from the factory
- Not compatible with lift kits that require subframe modifications (usually lifts greater than 3 inches)
- In some instances, there may be a tab on a preexisting OEM/TRD skid plate that will need to be bent slightly to allow the transmission shield to slide into place. This does not impact the integrity of either shield
- This skid plate will integrate perfectly with our engine skid plate and the transfer case skid plate.

- Zinc-coated button head Allen head hardware
- Optional Add-On Purchase:
- Welded reinforcing ribs around transmission to add additional strength for off-road applications

- CNC Laser Cut out of 1/4" 5052 bare aluminum or 3/16" black powder coated steel
- All aluminum plates ship uncoated as bare metal, some cosmetic blemishes may be present on material upon arrival. Displays in pictures have been polished and finished
